Dr. Kiefer is a graduate of Wooster High School, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology from The Ohio State University, and a DDS from The Ohio State University. A Navy veteran like his father before him, Dr. Kiefer worked for the Indian Health Service in San Diego before returning to Wooster to enter private practice. A graduate of Leadership Wooster and the Wooster Citizen’s Police Academy, Dr. Kiefer was named Leadership Wooster Distinguished Alumnus in 2013. He has also served on the vestry and was formerly a Junior Warden at St. James Episcopal Church. Dr. Kiefer formerly served on the board of Wayne Center for the Arts and currently serves on the board of the Viola Startzman Free Clinic where he has served as a volunteer clinician since the Clinic’s inception in 1995. He was awarded “Volunteer of the Year for the state of Ohio by the Ohio Association of Free Clinics in 2017. Dr. Kiefer is an active member of both Sigma Chi and Psi Omega fraternities. Dr. Kiefer and his wife Jackie have two daughters, Kirstin and Elizabeth, as well as two grandsons, Evan and Keaton living in Columbus. Dr. Kiefer lives in Wooster with Jackie where he enjoys sailing and playing double bass.
