Dr. Balogh-Crombie graduated from Strongsville High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at The University of Toledo. After receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, she married Dr. Martin Crombie. Their growing practices allowed for the construction of a state-of-the-art dental office located in Ashtabula, Ohio. Committed to education, she pursued her postdoctoral orthodontic training through The International Association of Orthodontics. She was pleased to serve as an Instructor to Dr. Brock Rondeau in Washington, D.C., helping to train dentists in Straightwire Orthodontics and Functional Appliances. In response to her patients’ need for comprehensive treatment, she continued her postdoctoral education by completing intensive training in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain through The Institute for Advanced TMJ Studies, directed by Dr. Steven Olmos, with additional training by Dr. Harold Gelb. She is pleased to provide this treatment to her patients for headaches and TMJ disorders. The close relationship between orthodontics, TMJ disorders, and sleep apnea/breathing disorders led Dr. Balogh-Crombie to pursue training for the treatment of Dental Sleep Disorders, including snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Balogh-Crombie has completed extensive training by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in Botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment and dermal fillers. In addition to providing these services for cosmetic and smile enhancement purposes, she also offers Botulinum Toxin therapy for headache, migraine, bruxism, and trigger points. Dr. Balogh-Crombie was the Director of the North Coast Dental Study Club for 20 years, which provided continuing education by both national and international presenters to Northeast Ohio and Pennsylvania dental colleagues. Committed to giving back to her community, she is also the Dental Clinic lead for Ashtabula County’s Remote Area Medical clinic, providing free health care to all patients. Dr. Balogh-Crombie is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, Ohio Dental Association, and Northeast Ohio Dental Society. She was a 15-year member of Ashtabula Rotary, Leadership Ashtabula graduate, Community Advisory Council member of Ashtabula County Medical Center, an Advisory Board member of Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, and a volunteer for the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League. In her spare time, Dr. Debra enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling, gardening, and playing electric violin in her husband’s rock, pop, and blues band – The Loose Tooth Band – which plays at many venues in northeast Ohio.
