Dr. Jones was born and raised in Southern California. After graduating high school there, he joined the U.S. Air Force for an opportunity to serve his country and travel the world. It was during this time that he married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca and had the fortunate opportunity to live in Europe for several years and start their family. After his active-duty commitment was completed, he attended Boise State University. This was their first experience living in Idaho and they instantly fell in love with the community and what Idaho had to offer. After graduation, he attended Case Western School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio where he was recognized for excellence in prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry. It was there that his passion for solving complex dental situations grew. He then made the decision to rejoin the U.S. Air Force and applied for a prosthodontic residency. Immediately following graduation, he moved to sunny San Antonio, Texas where he attended the U.S. Air Force’s prestigious advanced prosthodontic residency at the historic Wilford Hall Medical Center. Concurrently, he attended the University of Texas Health Science Center to pursue his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. After graduation, he joined the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in Omaha, Nebraska as a prosthodontic staff member where he trained new dentists on advanced restorative techniques. He then earned his board certification and became the only board-certified prosthodontist in Idaho. In 2016, after more than 13 years of service in the Air Force, he was able to fulfill his dream of returning to the Treasure Valley and join forces with Dr. Gurney and the incredible Boise Prosthodontics team. Dr. Christopher Jones is a board-certified prosthodontist dedicated to education and excellence in restorative and implant dentistry. His career began in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for six years as a structural journeyman, overseeing facility renovations and construction. Following his military service, he earned his undergraduate degree from Boise State University before attending Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. During dental school, he was awarded a highly competitive U.S. Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and was recognized for his outstanding achievements in prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry. His passion for complex dental cases led him to pursue advanced training, completing a prestigious prosthodontic residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Concurrently, he earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center, where his research focused on the correlation between bruxism and obstructive sleep apnea. Following residency, he served as a prosthodontic instructor for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in Omaha, Nebraska, providing both clinical and didactic training in advanced restorative and prosthodontic techniques. Dr. Jones achieved board certification from the American Board of Prosthodontics, a distinction held by fewer than 15% of prosthodontists nationwide. After 13 years of military service, he transitioned to private practice at Boise Prosthodontics, where he specializes in complex tooth and implant rehabilitations. By integrating digital dentistry advancements, he ensures the highest quality care for his patients. He is also actively involved in professional education, leading a respected study club for general dentists and serving as a Trustee for the Idaho State Dental Association. Outside of his practice, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife, Becky, and their four children. An avid outdoorsman, he takes advantage of Idaho’s scenic beauty through hiking, camping, and exploring. He also enjoys riding his side by side, playing basketball, running, and watching movies. “As a prosthodontist, I am a trained engineer of the mouth. An engineer designs, builds, and maintains machines and structures to aid in people’s everyday lives. They have innovative visions, articulate their designs, and construct their creations with the most advanced and up-to-date materials so the finished product is fully functioning and beautifully artistic. As a Prosthodontist, I have the same approach. I can fabricate and design dental implant restorations, dental crowns, dentures, and other complex restorations with precision.”
