Dr. Christopher Sprott is originally from Napa, California. Working alongside his grandfather as a dental assistant initially exposed him to the world of dentistry and ignited his passion. After graduating high school, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from UC Davis. Dr. Sprott began his dental education at Midwestern University in Illinois, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He then attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at a public health clinic in Santa Barbara, California. During this one-year residency, he trained extensively in comprehensive treatment planning, occlusion, prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry, and oral surgery. Upon graduation Dr. Sprott was retained as a faculty member and attending dentist, training the next class of residents, and treating medically compromised patients. During this time, Dr. Sprott’s primary interest became the treatment of periodontal disease, and he decided to focus his career in the specialty of periodontics. Dr. Sprott applied for, and was selected to attend a periodontal residency program in Kansas City, Missouri. During the course of the three-year residency, Dr. Sprott intensively trained in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, oral medicine, periodontal plastic surgery, bone and tissue regeneration, and dental implant therapy. After his extensive training and education on the severity of periodontal disease and the connection with systemic health, Dr. Sprott is driven to provide the most comprehensive and personalized care to his patients.
