Dr David L. Cantwell

Dr. David L. Cantwell is extremely passionate about helping patients to achieve the functional, beautiful smiles they deserve. Whether it's a routine exam or addressing an issue that a patient has been struggling with, he aims to provide reliable, affordable dental care. Never satisfied with the status quo, Dr. Cantwell works to continually increase his expertise in dentistry and incorporate the latest in dental technology into the practice. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and completed an advanced dental residency with specialized training in oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics. In 1997, Dr. Cantwell was commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Air Force, earning multiple military honors including Dental Officer of the Year for the entire United States Air Force in Europe in 2001. After his service, he established his private dental practice in Boise, Idaho. He holds the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology (ABOI), a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and a graduate of the renowned Misch Implant Institute. He has also completed the full curriculum at the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Cantwell enjoys his family, golf, Roman history, scuba diving, backpacking, reading, and target shooting.
