Dr. Christofakis specializes in the fields of periodontics, implant placement and endodontics, and is certified in providing anesthesia. Dr. Steven Christofakis, DDS Dr. Christofakis graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University and earned his Master of Science in Physiology with a thesis in head and neck cancer research. After obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University’s College of Dentistry, he completed a 2-year general practice residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. There he developed skills of surgical technique in the fields of Periodontics, Implant Placement, and Endodontics, as well as earned his certification in Anesthesia. He has recently relocated back to Richmond, VA to be closer to family, where he enjoys an active lifestyle including playing sports, instruments, and traveling.
