Dr. Leyli Valera decided to pursue dentistry as her career after assisting dentists and medical professionals in Costa Rica and Nicaragua as part of a mission trip. She was excited to help her future patients improve their quality of life through oral care. She soon graduated from San Jose State University and attended the prestigious Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Following graduation, Dr. Valera completed one year of general practice residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Here, Dr. Valera honed her skills in general dentistry, implant dentistry, pedodontics, emergency dentistry and oral surgery. Dr. Valera strives to optimize the patient experience, bringing care and comfort as well as high quality dental care. She considers patients as family – providing honest and simplified treatment advice to improve oral health as well as general health. She believes that trust, honesty and education are keys to deciding the best customized treatment plan for each unique patient. When she is not at the dental office, Dr. Valera values her time with her family and enjoys being outside as much as possible.
