Dr. LaChance grew up in a Northern Wisconsin town that borders the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He later attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison for college. In 2003, he married his wife, Claire, whom he’d known since they were teenagers competing on the same water ski show team. Shortly after, he and Claire moved to Twin Cities for graduate school. Dr. LaChance graduated from dental school at the University of Minnesota in 2007 and spent the next twelve years working in a group practice in St. Paul. Dr. LaChance has served a wide variety of dental community roles as a board member and head of the education committee for the St. Paul Executive Council, treasurer of the St. Paul District Dental Society, and as a host to shadowing experiences for pre-dental students from the University of St. Thomas, University of Minnesota, and dental assisting students from local community colleges. In 2015, he was awarded the “New Dentist Leadership Award” by the Minnesota Dental Association at the Star of the North Dental Convention. Dr. LaChance also volunteers for Give Kids a Smile, Mission of Mercy, and the Hope Dental Clinic. In his free time, he enjoys biking and fishing with his two daughters, traveling with his family, watching Bob Ross paint, and golfing or fly-fishing.
