After growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Aleksic received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arizona. She then returned home to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry. While there she met her husband, Dr. Karl Westenfelder, and participated in an externship taking her to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. This experience sparked an interest in public health and led Dr. Aleksic to work for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes in St. Ignatius. In 2000 Dr. Aleksic joined Dr. John Snively in private practice and Twin Cranes Dental Group was born. For Dr. Aleksic dentistry is the perfect combination of art, science, and hands-on healthcare. She enjoys taking the time to develop a relationship of mutual trust with each patient and educating them about oral health and helping select the comprehensive treatment that best suits that individual's goals. It is important to be a collaborative team. Dr. Aleksic, her husband and two children enjoy taking advantage of the many outdoor recreational activities and cultural events Missoula has to offer. They are avid cyclists, skiers, hikers, campers, boaters and art and music lovers.
