Dr. Forrest Crabtree is a native Mobilian who began practicing dentistry in 2005 after completion of his undergraduate education at Samford University and Dental School at UAB. In 2019, Dr. Crabtree completed a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). This award is obtained through 500 hours of continued education and requires the recipient to pass a 4 hour written exam covering all aspects of clinical dentistry. Less than 7% of dentists receive this award nationally. In 2020-21 Dr. Crabtree completed a Comprehensive Implant Residency Program at the Foundry in Birmingham. This training entails over 200 hours of hands on surgical placement of dental implants and bone grafting under the guidance of Dr. Michael McCracken. In addition to performing routine general dentistry, Dr. Crabtree focuses on complex treatment cases to help patients replace numerous missing and/or broken teeth at once. He enjoys the challenge of explaining, coordinating and finishing such cases that cover multiple aspects of dentistry. Dr. Crabtree attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and graduated in 2005.
