Dr. Portacci and his wife moved to Mobile in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina. Since then, they have fully enjoyed their time in the area and are proud to call it home. Dr. Portacci obtained his undergraduate degree from Tulane University, then attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Dr. Portacci completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the US Naval Hospital in the beautiful city of Beaufort, South Carolina. He served for 3 years as a dentist in the Navy before going into private practice here in Mobile, AL. After a decade in private practice, Dr. Portacci completed his Fellowship in Dental Implantology through LSU while maintaining a full time schedule at his practice in Mobile, and welcoming his 3rd child to the family. He continues to build his skillset by attending continuing education throughout the year. In his time outside of the office, you will find Dr. Portacci involved in activities with his boys Thomas, Spencer, and Robert. He also enjoys physical fitness and time in the sun on our local waters.
