Dr. Farrar is a Louisiana native who grew up in Shreveport. After graduating from Loyola College Prep, he continued his education at the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, where he earned his B.S. degree in Biology. In 2000, he received his DDS degree from LSUHSC School of Dentistry before being commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Farrar served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy for five years. He began his naval career by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Camp Lejeune, NC. While attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in 2002-2003, he served in Kosovo, Kenya, Djibouti, and Iraq. Lastly, he was stationed at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, GA, before leaving the Navy to pursue residency training in Endodontics. Dr. Farrar received his Certificate in Endodontics from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2007. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, as well as their state and local components. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Endodontics as a member of the College of Diplomates.
