Dr. Buettner is from Cullman, Alabama. After three years of undergraduate work, he was selected to enter the University of Alabama, Birmingham School of Dentistry under an accelerated program. His first year of dental school completed his undergraduate degree in pre-dentistry and he graduated with the academic honor cum laude. He has been practising dentistry since 1986. Dr. Buettner and his wife Kendall have two daughters, Dawson and Laurel. He is a strong supporter of PSIF (Public Service Insurance Fund).
