Originally from Belvidere, Illinois, Dr. Josh Cook has called North Carolina home for over a decade. He began his undergraduate studies at Truman State University in Missouri, where he met his now-wife, Molly. Together, they moved to North Carolina to be closer to Dr. Cook’s family. He completed his undergraduate education at East Carolina University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Dr. Cook earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the ECU School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with honors at the top of his class. During his time in dental school, he was elected president of both his class and the school’s student government, and was honored with the Student Leader in Organized Dentistry award by the North Carolina Dental Society. He was also inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Following dental school, Dr. Cook completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. There, he received advanced training in comprehensive general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), and implant dentistry. Dr. Cook is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth and plans to pursue a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside of the office, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife Molly, their two rescue dogs Sadie and Luna, their cat Nora, and their newborn daughter, Eloise. Outside work he enjoys hiking, gardening, and watching football.
