Dr. Mehrnaz Golmakani earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the esteemed New York University College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class. Her academic excellence earned her induction into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and recognition as the recipient of the Quintessence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics. Following her graduation, Dr. Golmakani completed a year-long General Practice Residency at NYU Langone Health in Brooklyn, concentrating on aesthetic dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics. She then pursued an additional three years of advanced specialty training in the distinguished Advanced Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry. Upon completion of her specialty training, Dr. Golmakani was honored with both the Leadership and Clinical Excellence Awards, a unique distinction historically awarded to only one graduate. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. In her personal life, Dr. Golmakani enjoys swimming and tennis, and she is passionate about animal welfare, often serving as a foster parent for animals in need.
