Dr Shawn Magelsen

Dr. Shawn Magelsen grew up here in the Pacific Northwest. After high school he spent two years doing mission work in Brazil and upon his return went to Brigham Young University where he received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology. He chose Temple University in Philadelphia to study dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2003. Dr. Shawn has been at Stanwood Dental Care for over 10 years and loves the many great people in the Stanwood/Camano community. Providing dental care that makes people happy and confident in their smile is my favorite aspect of dentistry. It is very rewarding to see the amazing changes that quality dentistry can make in a person’s life. It is my goal to offer all of my patients excellent dental care and to make sure that they feel comfortable and confident with the care they receive. I am committed to furthering my education to make sure that I am always up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry. I am very happy to work with an amazing group of people who sincerely care about our patients and are committed to doing all they can to provide the best possible dental experience. Each member of my team is friendly and compassionate toward our patients’ needs as well as highly trained in each aspect of patient care. Outside of the office I spend most of my time with my wife Sarah and our four wonderful daughters. They keep us very busy with many activities like piano and dance lessons and weekly youth group activities. I am very active with my local church group. When I have free time I love to ski, cycle, or hike.
