Dr. John Assey, D.M.D. was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant with deep and meaningful ties to his community. Dr. Assey received his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston where he was a two time Academic All-American on the Golf Team. Dr. Assey received his Doctorate from MUSC College of Dental Medicine where he was awarded the prestigious Radiology award for excellence in diagnosis. Following his family’s tradition of community service, Dr. Assey is a volunteer dentist at the East Cooper Community Outreach Dental Clinic and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club. Dr. Assey has completed extensive continuing education in the field of implant and restorative dentistry. He is a member of the Charleston Study Club and graduate of the Las Vegas Institute Endodontic Program. Dr. Assey strives to form life-long relationships with each of his patients built on communication and trust.
