Dr. David Markiewicz grew up in Mundelein. He is excited to be caring for patients in his hometown! Dr. David graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Chicago before earning his dental degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. His passion for learning continues through advanced training at top dental institutes such as Spear Education, The Pankey Institute, and the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEA). He has completed more than 500 hours of advanced dental education and is currently pursuing his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry—a distinction earned by only about 6% of dentists. One of Dr. David’s core missions is to constantly learn and improve so he can offer his patients the very best, most up-to-date care available. Dr. David is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Seattle Study Club. Dr. David has a special interest in biomimetic dentistry, which focuses on preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible. He enjoys providing conservative treatments, such as onlays and inlays, that restore strength and function while keeping teeth looking and feeling natural. He’s also passionate about the latest advances in digital dentistry and 3D printing, using cutting-edge technology to design and create precise, beautiful restorations right in the office. Dr. David takes particular pride in helping patients who experience significant dental anxiety. Through compassion, clear communication, and gentle techniques, he helps patients feel comfortable and confident while achieving their dental goals. In 2020, he published a children’s book called “Dentists Are Monsters,” written to help kids feel excited and empowered about visiting the dentist.
