Dr. Martiyha Simmons is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and her dental degree from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry. She fell in love with Tennessee and decided to call Nashville home. Dr. Simmons entered the dental field to empower patients to be their own health advocate by providing patient friendly education, prioritizing comfort and trust, and making optimal oral health achievable for all patients. She strives to make a difference in her community where the need for basic dental care is great. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is building relationships with her patients and breaking down barriers to care. Dr. Simmons has a calming bedside manner and is dedicated to creating a positive dental experience for even the most fearful patients. Outside of the office, Dr. Simmons is a foodie and enjoys exploring Nashville’s newest restaurants and activities with her daughter, family and friends. She loves to tap into her creative side with painting and crafting projects.
