Originally from Canada, she graduated with an undergraduate degree in Health Psychology and Medical Technology. After college, she attended the University of Michigan Dental School, graduating in 1999. She owned her own practice in Wisconsin, then worked almost 10 years at a mission clinic in Saipan. She chose Myrtle Beach to be closer to family.
