Dr. Cottrill, an Ohio native, was one of a few select students to graduate from a premier six-year dental program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After being one of the youngest in the country to finish dental school, he followed the footsteps of many generations in his family and joined the U.S. Army, where he served on active duty for four years at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. During his time in the military, Dr. Cottrill received additional training with complex restorations, root canals, oral surgery, implants, crowns, bridges, and sedation dentistry. He relocated to Nashville, where he was trained in advanced prosthodontics, dental lab techniques, and complex implant surgery. Dr. Cottrill considers it a great honor to continue to operate our private in-office dental lab, one of the very first in Tennessee.
