Dr David Smiley

Upon graduating from the College of Charleston, Dr. Smiley moved out west to attend dental school in Portland, Oregon, where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Oregon Health & Science University in 2020. He went on to further his dental education at Virginia Commonwealth University where he completed an additional year of training in Complex Advanced General Dentistry. Dr. Smiley’s priority is to provide his patients with clear explanations, so they can make informed decisions based on their personalized treatment goals. He is a firm believer that dentistry goes beyond just oral health care, and that it’s also about forming relationships and customizing a plan to fit your individual needs. Dr. Smiley balances function with esthetics to restore your teeth the way nature intended. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Smiley is constantly pursuing the latest innovations in dentistry and actively engages in continuing dental education courses, lectures, and hands-on workshops. Dr. Smiley is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Nashville Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Association, and other dental study clubs in the Nashville area.
