Dr Melanie K. Villalobos,

Dr. Villalobos is a proud Coronado native who grew up on the island and attended school here from elementary through high school. As a longtime patient of Coronado Dental Associates, she developed an early connection to the practice and the people who make it so special. When she decided to pursue a career in dentistry, Dr. Meadows was a source of encouragement and support and helped shape her path. Dr. Villalobos attended San Diego State University for college and earned her dental degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency in Oklahoma City at OU Children’s Hospital and OU Medical Center, where she gained advanced training in comprehensive and hospital-based care. She then practiced dentistry in Tennessee and Sacramento, further refining her clinical skills before returning home to Coronado. Dr. Villalobos has also completed advanced continuing education through Spear Education, a nationally recognized program focused on comprehensive, long-lasting, and patient-centered care. This training allows her to take a thoughtful, whole-health approach to dentistry and to clearly explain treatment options so patients can make confident decisions about their care. Today, Dr. Villalobos is grateful to be back on the island serving the community that raised her. She is passionate about providing compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and heard. At Coronado Dental Associates, patients are treated like family, and Dr. Villalobos is honored to continue that tradition.
