Dr. Blackwell's passion for safer, healthier living began by looking inward at her children's health and her own. Her background in toxicology studies propelled her to find solutions that were not only effective, but sustainable and less toxic than traditional dental treatments. After 10 years as a traditional dentist, she founded enlightenDENTAL. She earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at Spelman College, dental degree at UNC Chapel Hill, and residency at VA Medical Center. As a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), she is in the top 6% of dentists, taking over 100 hours of CE annually. NOLA proud, she enjoys yoga, reading, and family time.
