Dr. Ira Newman is a native New Yorker raised in Queens. He attended SUNY-Binghamton and then received his dental degree from Emory University School of Dentistry. He further trained at NYU College of Dentistry/Bellevue Hospital Center, where he completed a one-year residency. Dr. Newman was a former clinical instructor in the Department of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry and is currently an attending dentist at Northwell Hospital/Manhasset, where he is the chief of laser dentistry and co-director of the TMJ/Facial Pain clinic. Dr. Newman has trained at the prestigious Dawson Center for Advanced Dentistry and the Spear Center for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Newman has run a highly respected private dental practice in both Manhattan and the North Shore of Long Island for the past two decades. He has appeared on CNN, NY 1 News, the Today Show, and CBS News to discuss modern dental technologies. Dr. Newman is a member of many organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Academy of Laser Dentistry. He has published articles and lectured nationally on various dental topics.
