Dr Sumner Schwarz

Dr. Sumner Schwarz is a Restorative / Root Canal / Full Service dentist at Stuyvesant Dental. He was born and raised in Stuyvesant Town. Dr. Schwarz received his BA in biology from the University of Rochester, an MS in medical microbiology from Texas Tech University, and a DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Upon graduating dental school in the top of his class, Dr. Schwarz was recognized by the dental honor fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He also received awards as an outstanding student in oral pathology and periodontics, and as the most proficient in general dentistry. Dr. Schwarz completed a residency in general dentistry at Jamaica Hospital, and continues to educate himself through dental study clubs and ongoing education courses. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Sumner Schwarz offers comprehensive modern dentistry, with an emphasis on one-visit root canal therapy, dental implants, non-surgical treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, and aesthetic crowns and bridges. Joined Stuyvesant Dental in 2000 and has been treating patients for over 25 years.
