Dr. Charris Allen is a Delaware native and graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she excelled as a member of the Dean’s list and won multiple scholarships. Following Dental school Dr. Allen completed her residency at Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital. Dr. Allen actually started working at Smile Brite in 2009 as an assistant off and on while completing her high school, college, and post-graduate education. She knew she wanted a career in dentistry but only saw herself as a lab tech until Dr. Bishop convinced her to be the boss. “I loved being a dental assistant and providing patients with a sense of comfort and ease while receiving dental treatment. Now I am excited to be welcomed back by my Smile Brite family to help educate and treat patients firsthand. The oral cavity can be a vulnerable area, and it is my hope to give patients a positive dental experience.”
