Dr. Daniel Fitzgerald graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in physiology and neurobiology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Fitzgerald moved to Stony Brook, New York, where he completed a year-long residency program in general dentistry at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Fitzgerald is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association®, the Massachusetts State Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, and Invisalign® Pro. He has been honored with the James and Ella Burr McManus Fund/Hartford Dental Society Scholarship, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award, and the International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award. Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys all fields of dentistry but holds a particular passion for community service. While at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, he was a student leader of a dental service trip to the Dominican Republic. He also volunteered through Mission of Mercy, Special Smiles, Migrant Farm Worker Clinics, and the South Park Inn Dental Clinic. Dr. Fitzgerald is still active every year at Mission of Mercy, providing free dental care to those who can’t afford it. Outside the office, Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys playing sports, including tennis, volleyball, golf, and skiing. He also loves hiking, discovering new TV shows, and listening to live music. His favorite musicians include The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, The Grateful Dead, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.
