Mr John A. DuRant

Dr. DuRant was born and raised in South Carolina. A few years after graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Biological Sciences, he and his wife moved to Philadelphia where he received his dental degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2017. He then moved to Charleston where he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program in 2018 at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has been practicing in South Carolina ever since. Dr. DuRant is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association. He has served on various dental mission trips to Ecuador and Trinidad over the years with Dental Community Fellowship. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Kendall, for 12 years and they have 4 young children who keep them very busy! When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him spending time with his family and involved in his church. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, exercising and watching Clemson football. Dr. DuRant is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Greater Charleston community and build relationships with his patients through comprehensive dental care. He strives to know each of his patients individually and work with them in a way that is comfortable, conservative and effective.
