Dr Diana Medina

Dr. Medina was raised in Bogota, Colombia, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Rochester School and graduated Valedictorian. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996, Cum Laude in the field of research, from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota. She remained at Javeriana completing her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery degree in 2002, Magna Cum Laude in the field of research. During this period (2001) Dr Medina incorporated an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Externship into her training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. She then came to California, where she validated all of her dental training and completed a surgical internship at the University of California in Los Angeles in 2003. Dr. Medina completed her senior residency in 2006 at Temple University in Philadelphia. During her internship and residency, Dr. Medina received extensive training in facial reconstruction and orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, anesthesia techniques, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting, and the surgical placement of dental implants. Outside of her practice, Dr. Medina is dedicated to her family. She enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and two children. As an added bonus, Dr Medina is fluent in Spanish.
