Born in Fort Monroe, Virginia as the third son of an Army Corp of Engineers Officer and the first woman to graduate from New York University's Periodontal program. Dr. Wood graduated from University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biology and following in his pioneering mother's footsteps, continued on to Northwestern University where he completed his D.D.S. degree.
