Dr. Uritani’s practice philosophy is to discover the underlying causes for symptoms and to help the body in its innate healing process by treating kids in a minimally invasive and a supportive manner. Dr. Nakako was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in the SF Bay Area. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University in New York. When she returned to California, she conducted research on Obstructive Sleep apnea therapy at Stanford University and worked as a Bioinformatics consultant, traveling around the world. After Developing an interest in Dentistry, Dr. Nakako worked as a research associate in the dental biomaterials at UCSF and earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco... She has been trained in and studied biological and minimally invasive dentistry, ALF orthodontics and cranioscral therapy, Myofunctional therapy and several Eastern healing modalities.
