Dr. Kim graduated from dental school in 1986 and finished his Ph.D in Implant Dentistry in 1995. He also finished his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) resident training in 1990. He attended his post-graduate fellowship in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1996. Dr. Kim worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of OMFS at LSU Dental School from 1996-1999. During this time, he also worked at a clinical faculty at Charity Hospital and East Jefferson Memorial Hospital in New Orleans. He is a member of several renowned dental associations and academies including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseo Integration, American Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
