Dr. Bill Cho grew up in Southern California. He attended the University of California, Irvine for his undergraduate studies earning a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry degree. He then went to the University of Southern California to attain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Periodontal and Dental Implant training consisted of a 3 year residency program at Ohio State University. In addition to earning his Certification in Periodontics, he earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry by completing a clinical research study examining the effects of mechanical trauma to gum tissue and teeth. During his residency, Dr. Cho was chosen as Chief Resident in the Department of Periodontology. Dr. Cho has 20+ years of experience in performing periodontal and dental implant procedures. He is sought after for placement of dental implants (single implants to all on 4), periodontal treatment, and dental implant complications. Dr. Cho strives for the best possible result under the most comfortable setting and only uses the most extensively researched materials for all procedures performed. Dr. Cho is licensed to perform oral sedation to make treatment visits more comfortable. Dr. Cho is a Board Certified Periodontist. Being a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology is awarded to a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Dr. Cho is also a member of the Spear Study Group (co-director), American Association of Periodontology, American Dental Association California, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Association, and The Academy of Osseointegration. In his spare time, Dr. Cho enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf.
