Dr Freddy Mezquia

Dr. Freddy Mezquia was born and raised in Miami, FL. He is a first-generation Cuban American fluent in both Spanish and English. Dr. Mezquia served in the US Air Force for four years as a dental assistant/hygienist. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and later obtained his doctorate of dental medicine degree at NSU College of Dental Medicine. He then went on to complete a 1-year advanced education in general dentistry residency in Albany, New York, at the Albany-Stratton VA Medical Center. Dr. Mezquia is an active member of the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry and is working towards becoming an honorary Fellow. He strongly believes in the value of continuing education and has completed advanced courses in Implant dentistry. He has coordinated and volunteered in multiple mission trips to the Dominican Republic to provide free dental services to those in need. In his spare time, he really enjoys watching action and comedy movies, as well as gardening, playing pool, spending time with family and friends, and bowling.
