Dr. Jordan Buhr became a dentist out of a genuine desire to help people feel healthy, confident, and cared for. He views dentistry as a combination of technical skill, problem-solving, and human connection. For him, great dental care means understanding each patient’s goals, earning their trust, and delivering treatment with precision and compassion. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Dr. Buhr earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota, majoring in Health Sciences and Political Science. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. Following dental school, Dr. Buhr was selected for a competitive 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the U.S. Army. There, he gained extensive training across all areas of dentistry, preparing him to care for diverse and often complex patient needs. He was later stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, where he provided comprehensive care for service members from all branches of the military and their families. While overseas, he completed the Army’s Advanced Clinical Practice training in General Dentistry. Dr. Buhr then returned to the Pacific Northwest for his final active-duty assignment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord before transitioning into private practice.
