Dr James Kornegay

From My Family Dental’s inception, Dr. Kornegay and his team have made the comfort and care of patients their paramount concern. By treating each visitor as a valued member of one large family, Dr. Kornegay believes patients will also feel more comfortable about becoming involved in and asking questions about their oral health. After graduating from Troy State University in 1976 with a major in business management, Dr. Kornegay was part of the Air Force and worked as a corporate recruiter and sales manager for a major corporation before pursuing his passion for dentistry. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1986, started practicing in 1987, and achieved his masters-level education at the Academy of General Dentistry in 2001. Dr. Kornegay is married to his soulmate Beth and loves to spend time with their four children and seven grandchildren. When not in the clinic, he enjoys fishing, hunting, woodworking, and horses.
