Dr. Fernandes was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area. After receiving a Bachelors of Science from George Mason University and Master’s in Biomedical Science from Barry University in South Florida, he returned home to attend Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. Dr. Fernandes then moved to Louisiana to complete a one year hospital residency at Louisiana State University before joining a private practice outside of New Orleans, where he began his career. He later decided to return to and settle in Florida and that is where he eventually joined our team. Dr. Fernandes believes that his role as a dentist also comes with a responsibility to his community. He volunteers on a monthly basis at Grace Medical Home in Orlando and volunteers as both a clinician and board member of the Dental Care Access Foundation. Outside of dentistry he is just as active. In his free time he enjoys playing sports as he is still an avid athlete, enjoys cooking, reading non-fiction, and spending days at the beach and outdoors. He loves to travel and has visited over 20 countries! His current interests in dentistry include the implementation of AI and 3D printing, emergency and trauma management, and learning about different dental materials. Dr. Fernandes looks forward to meeting you and is excited to be a part in helping you reach your own personal goals with us.
