Dr. Ryan Starr graduated from Midwestern University School of Dental Medicine in 2017, after which he completed a one-year post-doctorate program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco. Before deciding to become a dentist, Dr. Ryan received a Bachelor’s of Science in Genetics from the University of California, Davis. He spent the next two years working in genetic research for Stanford University and private companies in the Sacramento area, ultimately catching dental fever just like three generations of Starrs before him. He loves patient care and is very happy as a dentist. Dr. Ryan and his wife Merika, a practicing pharmacist in Menlo Park, welcomed their first daughter Amelia Jane Starr in January 2019 followed by twins Maya and Evelyn in November 2020. The Starr girls are yet undecided as to whether they will carry the family business into a fifth generation. Dr. Starr represents the fourth generation of dentists in the Starr family, continuing his family’s tradition of personalized patient care for healthy, sparkling smiles.
