Dr Travis Dixon

Dr. Travis Dixon was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended West High School where he met Mary, who would later become his wife. After high school, he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Guatemala City where he became fluent in Spanish and developed a love for Hispanic culture and people. It was here that his dreams of becoming a dentist first began. After his mission he attended the University of Utah where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with an emphasis on global health – learning how healthcare systems are implemented across different countries and cultures around the world. During his studies he had the opportunity to do a study abroad in Havana, Cuba where he experienced foreign healthcare and policies firsthand. Following college, the Dixons moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Midwestern University’s dental program. There he learned many valuable skills needed to be an excellent provider, including forming lasting relationships with his patients. He loves taking care of his patients and those in his community. Dr. Dixon enjoys all fields of dentistry, however he is especially passionate about the surgical aspects of dental care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Dixon loves to spend time with his family. He has a wife and three children – a boy and two little girls that melt his daddy heart. He also loves playing and watching sports – including cheering on the Utah Utes’ football team and the Utah Jazz basketball team. Don’t be surprised if you find Dr. Dixon on the golf course on the weekend. He also loves all kinds of music and one of his favorite things to do is to play the piano.
