Dr Shridhar Patankar

Born in India and raised in sunny South Florida. Dr. Patankar (or Dr. P) attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree in chemistry and Barry University for a master’s degree in biomedical sciences. He attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. As an active member of school organizations and president of the professional fraternity Alpha Omega, he organized multiple oral cancer awareness 5K runs to raise funds to help with surgical treatment for patients. After graduation, Dr. P moved to and practiced in northern Virginia. Along with his brother, sister-in-law, nephew and parents, he decided Houston would be a great place to settle and made the move here in 2019! Dr. P strongly believes in patient education and information, and he stays up-to-date with what dentistry has to offer. His focus on patient care is being a dental Sherpa to guide patients as they navigate treatment options. When communicating about dental concerns/treatments, his goal is to best answer two important questions for all his patients: “What are we doing?” and “Why are we doing it?” Outside of dentistry, Dr. P enjoys cooking, talking to people and learning about anything new that he does not know of. He believes learning leads to humility. Dr. P also enjoys exploring new restaurants and bars, as well as following cricket and soccer. Recently, he has reacquired his taste for football by getting into a fantasy football league with some of his colleagues.
