Dr. Varlakova has been a dentist in Sonoma Valley since 2011, and has chosen to put down roots here with her husband and partner, Dr. Lee Tetz. Born in Bulgaria, she comes to Cotati having grown up in Toronto, Canada, and then pursued her BS degree in Nutritional Biology at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She completed her dental school education at the School of Dentistry at Loma Linda University in Southern California. While a student, Dr. Varlakova was distinguished with Honors in Pediatric Dentistry, was elected to the Dean’s List, and received numerous awards including leadership recognition from the International College of Dentists, as well as clinical awards from the American Association of Pediatric Dentists, and the American Association of Periodontology, among others. She has also taken many continuing education courses in the study of cariology, functional esthetics, laser dentistry, and other specialized dental techniques.
