Mr Lorena

Lorena was born in Maracaibo Venezuela. She graduated from the University of Zulia in Venezuela and worked as a General Dentist. She has also completed training at the University of Yacambú in Venezuela as a Dentofacial Orthopedics. She was also part of a research team that studied dental issues among the indigenous population of Venezuela; she was awarded the “Merit Order Dr. Heberto Nava” for her work at University of Zulia Dental School. She had practiced Dentistry for 14 years before she and her family were forced to relocate to Pittsburgh due to the political climate in Venezuela. Her family has always been a valuable source of support for her entire career. Since she was young, Lorena has enjoyed painting and playing volleyball. Her current passions are biking, karate and reading. Her favorite foods are plantains, arepas (Venezuelan dish) and Thai food. Lorena is an innate helper, compassionate with others and very passionate about what she does. She enjoys working as part of a team.
