Dr. William H. Young is a lifelong native of Pittsburgh, growing up in Hampton. As a third-generation dentist, he follows in the footsteps of his father, Dr. William Young; his mother, Dr. Christine Rylands Young; and his grandfather, Dr. Robert Rylands. His younger sister, Dr. Haley Brose, also practices dentistry in the McCandless area. Dr. Young graduated from the University of Dayton and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He completed his residency at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital in Aspinwall, where he worked with veterans and honed his skills in restorative, prosthetic, and implant dentistry. Early in his career, Dr. Young worked in a private practice with an in-house lab, fostering his love for cosmetic dentistry. He continues collaborating with private lab technicians to deliver exceptional results. In addition to his practice, Dr. Young serves as an instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He mentors students in the fundamentals of fixed prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant restorations) and lectures on Dental Sleep Medicine. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Young resides in the Shadyside area where he enjoys all things Pittsburgh, including sporting events, concerts, and local restaurants. In his free time, he loves golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
