Dr Rohit Ummer

Dr. Rohit Ummer – “Dr Ro” – graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas, and went on to pursue his higher education at the University of Notre Dame, where he obtained degrees in Chemistry and Classics. Dr. Ro then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He furthered his training by completing a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Ro is an active member of professional dental associations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. He has received various awards for his professional collegiality and excellence in research. Dr. Ro has also made significant contributions to the field through presentations and publications on cleft lip/palate genetics. Dr. Ro finds immense fulfillment in his role as a dentist. He believes that dental work plays a significant role in improving patients’ quality of life, whether it’s alleviating pain, ensuring oral health, restoring the ability to chew, or giving them the confidence to smile. In his free time, Dr. Ro enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Emily, who is a pediatrician. They have been together for over a decade and have two wonderful daughters and a beloved dog. When not caring for patients or with his family, Dr. Ro indulges in watching college football, cooking, and gardening.
