Dr. Calvin Dang grew up in Southern California but moved to the Bay Area to attend the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. Following his dental training, he completed a rigorous three-year postgraduate residency program in periodontics at UCSF, serving as Chief Resident. During this specialty training, Dr. Dang also received his Master of Science (MS) degree. He is actively involved in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Dang keeps up-to-date on many continuing educational classes to ensure that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care possible. Dr. Dang's skills cover a wide range of periodontal issues: advanced (deep) cleanings and surgeries to correct gum disease, tissue grafts for gum recession, implants to replace missing teeth, extractions, bone grafts, soft tissue regeneration, and many other specialty treatments that only a well-trained periodontist can provide. When he's not at the office, Dr. Dang spends lots of quality time with his family. He enjoys biking, cooking, traveling, gardening, movies, and keeping a healthy mind.
