Dr. Maria Gutierrez was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. At the age of 16, she discovered her passion and decided to become a dentist. She attended five years of training at the prestigious University of Santa Maria School of Dental Medicine in Venezuela where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004. After graduating, Dr Gutierrez worked in close collaboration with her father, a renowned Pediatric Doctor, at their medical-dental office in Caracas. She treated children and adults with complex medical and dental problems. In addition to her dental degree, she completed a two-year residency program and earned a specialist degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 2007. After working in her own private practice for a while in Venezuela Dr. Gutierrez decided to move to the United States to further her professional development. In 2012, She received her US Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. She also served as an assistant professor teaching removable and restorative dentistry to dental students after graduation. Dr. Gutierrez has a combined eighteen years of clinical experience in dentistry working with both children and adult patients in all aspects of dental care. She has continued to pursue the advancement of her training with continuum education classes in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, implantology, and she is always eager to master new technologies. She speaks fluent English and Spanish, and well known for having a gentle touch and calming personality. A true love and passion for her work, she takes great pride in delivering excellent dental care to all her patients.
