And the saga continues to grow! What a true pleasure it has been to see my son, Dr. Dustin Barr blossom into the Plantation, FL, dental practice that his parents helped create. Dustin’s mother has been the office manager for as many years as I have been practicing. It has been a repeat of history for me, as I had worked alongside my dad who was a physician, and my mom who was his office manager. I am a proud Gator that graduated from the University of Florida (UF) before continuing on to Emory University for my DDS degree. I cannot even begin to express the joy I get when a patient who comes in scared to death of dentistry ends up walking out with a new smile and tears in their eyes amazed that the process can be so painless and rewarding. Though I grew up in Philadelphia, I would not trade the South Florida life for anything. I have a thirst for continuing education and you will often find me with the latest journals making sure we have the best to offer our patients.
