Dr Helen Smillie

Dr. Helen was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She later moved to Ormond Beach with her family. She attended Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, completing the International Baccalaureate program. She then attended the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She also attended Barry University, where she received her master’s degree in biomedical sciences. She decided to pursue a career in dentistry after growing up being very self-conscious of her smile and seeing how confident she felt after having her bite corrected. She went on to study at Nova Southeastern University, where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. When she is not in the office, she keeps busy with her two young children, James and Harper, and Labrador retriever, Roshe. Dr. Helen loves to go hiking, go to the beach, and tries to support local businesses. Dr. Helen is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Volusia Flagler Dental Association, Volusia Dental Academy, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry and Botox and Dermal Fillers treatment.
