Dr Emily Nelson

Dr. Emily Nelson graduated from Boston University Dental School in 2009 and moved to Maine in 2011 where she practiced general dentistry in Topsham and Portland. She purchased Cape Cottage Family Dental in 2017. Dr. Nelson practices all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest and training in Physiologic Based Dentistry. This training allows her to compassionately treat patients with complex dental needs. She also treats patients suffering from headaches, TMJ symptoms and sleep disorders. She is an Invisalign Silver provider and is committed to continual improvement by participating in ongoing post-graduate education. Dr. Nelson is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, Greater Portland Dental Society, IACA, and the Young Dentists Study Club of Maine. A native of Cupertino, California, Emily graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara. She lives in Cape Elizabeth with her husband Mickey and their 3 young children Duke, Morea and Roman. Emily enjoys running, biking, swimming and skiing and when not in the office can be found shuttling her children to and from their many activities.
